FLOOR GRAPHICS TARGET A CAPTIVE AUDIENCE

Floor graphics always attract attention. There’s no better way to promote your brand or send a message to a crowd that is already oversaturated with advertising and branding. The beauty of floor graphics is that they are installed in a mostly empty media environment (the ground), giving you virtually exclusive access to your audience. And when done right, they can actually engage people and start a conversation. Big or small, indoors our out, thoughtful and well-executed floor graphic draws attention and stands out from the rest of the clutter. Floor graphics are especially successful for shorter-term events and when installed in high foot-traffic areas. CASE STUDY: DCA AIRPORT

CSI recently installed two massive floor graphics at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. Running from the parking garages to the terminal, these two graphics were 10 feet in width and 137 feet in length. Better yet, they were installed between the two moving walkways, which allowed even more people to see them. The graphics actually told a story, which helped to keep people engaged during their walk. With a graphic of this size, it becomes almost essential to have multiple messages as there is no way a person can see or take in the entire graphic at once. ADHESIVE WALL MURALS CONVEY YOUR MESSAGE IN A BIG WAY

Adhesive Wall Murals (also known as dustwall murals, adhesive vinyl panels, wall graphics, and can go by many other names) are a quick and easy way to cover a large area with a custom-designed message. Depending on the material used, adhesive wall murals can range from a great temporary installation all the way to a permanent solution (although if you are looking for a very long-term solution, we would also recommend the use of custom wall covering as well). FENCE BANNERS HELP TO PROMOTE IDEAS, BRANDS, CAMPAIGNS

Need a quick solution for getting your brand or message out? Fence banners may be the answer. Covering an existing fence (or even building a new one) with colorful banners is a great way to transmit and promote your message, especially in high-traffic areas. These banners can be printed on mesh, vinyl, or even fabric, depending on the length of time the graphics will be used and the quality of printing desired.

Once the fence banners have been produced, they are normally installed with zip-ties to the fence line. If the banners are being installed in a high-wind area, extra installation hardware may be required. CSI has installed miles and miles of fence banners over the years and have the expertise and knowhow to help you with your project!

CSI worked with Downtown DC Bid to help draw the public’s attention away from a long-vacant and declining historical building, while the future of the landmark is decided. Photos of the fence banners CSI produced and installed, as well as a write-up about the building, can be seen here.

Tysons Corner Center installed fence banners around a lot of the perimeter of the new construction at the mall. Additionally, they relied on fence banners to promote their VITA project during the construction of the new plaza.

UPDATED: CSI PRODUCES HUNDREDS OF POLE BANNERS IN DC FOR THE WASHINGTON NATIONALS

CSI was asked to produce and install several hundred pole banners for the NL East Champion Washington Nationals. The Washington Nationals have been tearing up the MLB this season and clinched the NL East last week. As a result, a massive stadium-area rebranding campaign took place to let everyone know they were playoff-bound once again. Featuring the tag lines “Nothing But October,” and “We’re In!” the banners went up all around the stadium and throughout Downtown DC’s Business Improvement District’s (BID) 138-block area.

The banners were produced over a period of 4 days at the shop. Images are printed on both sides, so front-to-back registration is critical. After the pole banners have been printed, they are trimmed to shape and size. Finally, pole pockets are sewn in and grommets are added. The banners are then ready for install.

Silicone Edge Graphics (or SEG) are everywhere these days. You may even have seen them without knowing you did. They are in airports, malls, retail stores, offices, and just about anywhere you would see a high quality or easily changeable print. These high quality fabric prints are referred to as Silicone Edge Graphics or SEG because of the way their edges are finished. They allow for easy insertion into a commonly available aluminum frame that is usually permanently installed.

We are increasingly being asked to produce this type of graphic and there are several reasons for doing so.

4 – Silicone Edge Graphics are MUCH lighter than traditional graphics and are less prone to damage during shipping

5 – Silicone Edge Graphic can be installed into the existing frame by virtually anyone. No prior install experience is needed and the process takes only a minute or two

CSI was approached recently to install some mall graphics for Macerich at the newly constructed Plaza at Tysons Corner Center. This project was over 10 years in the making and is on schedule to be completed by April of 2015. The opening of the plaza is the first phase of the project and was just days before the opening of the Silver Line on the DC Metro.

CSI installed several types of mall graphics indoors (walkway between existing Tysons Corner Center and Plaza), outdoors (windows on hotel, wall graphics in Plaza) and everything in-between. Fenceline banners were also installed on the plaza. The mall graphics installed included adhesive vinyl wall murals on drywall, adhesive vinyl window graphics, and mesh banners.

Here is a great example of political event signage we produced for our friends over at National Journal and CNN. This was for a #politicsontap event held at Sixth Engine in NW Washington DC. One of the common issues we face with event signage is the ability to easily remove the graphics after the event is over. For those cases, we often use media with non-permanent or removable adhesives. These adhesives provide enough tack to keep the graphics up for the event. They can then be removed with no residue.

Summer is a great time for stadium signage! CSI has been busy printing graphics and print of all kinds for the Washington Kastles tennis team, whose season runs for a short period during the summer. We produced fabric backdrops, huge mesh banners, rigid signs, backlit signs, adhesive vinyl, aluminum signs and just about everything else for the Kastles this year. Indoor installation for stadium signage like this can certainly be a challenge, but CSI was up to the task. The largest banner we produced for the venue was almost 100′ long and 16′ high!

Take a look at these political event graphics we produced for the White House, the Department of Labor and the Center For American Progress. All of this material was for the White House Summit On Working Families recently held here in Washington, DC. CSI produced and installed the graphics for Chris Wayne & Associates, a major event management and marketing firm in the DC area.

This event presented a major challenge because no mounting hardware was allowed. Everything had to be easily removable and not permanent. We had to create our own method of hanging both the fabric banners and the gatorboard wall panels. In addition, due to the security surrounding the event, we had limited access to the venue. The entire install needed to be completed on the weekend in just under 12 hours. In the end, it was a successful, albeit stressful, event. Have a look at some of the photos.
